This is: Niels Janson – Content specialist

Our team consists of about 40 employees, so there's always something to tell. In the section 'This is' we interview a colleague about his or her work, but also about dreams, trends and what we have just wanted to know about it. This is Niels Janson!

Hi, who are you and what are you doing at Buro N11?

I’m Niels Janson, I’m 24 years old and live in Hoorn. Since September 2018 I have been working at Buro N11. I am mainly employed as a translator. In between, I also write for our own websites AutoRAI.nl and ZERauto.nl and make sure that the Autozoeker on those websites remains up-to-date.

What do you like about it?

I love cars and like to write. With this work I can combine both.

What are you most proud of?

That I managed to work on a ‘car editors’. That was the goal when I started my Communication training, but given the rather small world, the chances of that would work were not very great. Furthermore, it gives satisfaction, of course, if a well written text or article can be published.

How do you keep up to date with what’s going on in your field?

I follow developments in the car world in different ways, for example by following the news of both our own and other car media. Language skills continue to develop on a level and further by working on writing and translating.

What’s the last book you’ve read?

I actually only read books on holiday, because then I can read a lot of the book in a row. The last holiday I read several books, which was exactly the last I wouldn’t know anymore. The last book I bought is at least ‘I have a smart dryer’ from Tex de Wit, a book with short humorous stories.

What do you think of your nickname ‘Nielson’?

Well, that nickname… Why would you do that?

What three things are you happy about?

Family and friends, listening to music and of course working on my hobby: cars.

What are you listening to in the car?

In general, I listen to everything and everything, just what I feel like at a time. In the car is usually Radio Veronica on. They often have a good mix of both old and new music and different genres. At the times I’m in the car, there are often also programs with humor.

What’s your biggest dream?

Maybe a little cliché: can do what I like. More specifically, I would like to make a trip through North America.

What question would you ask which colleague?

Hey, Jaimy, are you in the picture with a bag of coffee?
