This is: Huib Frie – Email & CRM specialist

Our team consists of about 40 employees, so there's always something to tell. In the section 'This is' we interview a colleague about his or her work, but also about dreams, trends and what we have just wanted to know about it. This is Huib Frie!

Hi, who are you and what are you doing at Buro N11?

My name is Huib Frie, I am 41 years old and live with my wife and two daughters in Gouda. I have been working at Buro N11 since November 2013 and are engaged in the transmission of press releases, content management and video and animations.

What do you like about it?

I see the result of my work quickly; a press release that is picked up rap by the media, videos and animations that come back online after shipment and, for example, articles that visitors can read on our customers’ websites. In general, the lead time of these jobs is also relatively short, which ensures a pleasant alternation and smooth turnaround time in my daily work.

What are you most proud of?

That we can exceed our customers’ expectations over and over again! An important and positive reason for this is the pleasure we have in what we do and of course our skills that we keep constantly up to date.

How do you keep up to date with what’s going on in your field?

By keeping looking around and keeping an eye on trends and developments. However, I think it is important to always stay a bit cocky and creative in this, so you come to beautiful new solutions that really surprise sit the customer with.

What’s the last book you’ve read?

I don’t read a lot of books, but I’m sitting with my nose in magazines. Favorites include Sailing, Southwest Art Magazine and America Magazine.

About the picture: what have you on your fingers?

I play lapstem and dobro (those are electric and acoustic sauceguitars) in a tire. The strings of these guitars hover an inch above the neck, so you don’t press them in like with a ‘regular’ guitar. That’s why you need a so-called handle (which I hold on to in the picture) and fingerpicks (which of course sit around my fingers). Search “Jerry Douglas” on YouTube, and it soon becomes clear to you.

What three things are you happy about?

Sailing (with dot on one), playing board games with friends and family and laphandle and dobro playing in a band!

What are you listening to in the car?

Most often Americana (country, blues, singer-songwriter, long live internet radio ;)!) and also jazz, especially everything from The Great American Songbook, great!

What’s your biggest dream?

With the whole family make great sailing trips, such as crossing the coast of Europe along or even crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

What question would you ask which colleague?

What subjects Simone prefers to paint and draw.
