This is: Denise Egbers – Project Manager

Our team consists of about 40 employees, so there's always something to tell. In the section 'This is' we interview a colleague about his or her work, but also about dreams, trends and what we have just wanted to know about it. This is Denise Egbers!

Hey, Denise! Who are you and what are you doing at Buro N11?
Hi! I’m Denise, 29 years old and i live in Gouda. Since March 2015 I have been working at Buro N11. I started as part of Persclub Shipping/the web team. I am currently project manager, but I am still fully in my ‘old position’. I am now the direct point of contact for the customer if they want to turn off a press release, translation or site update with us. When the client’s question comes in to me, I’ll make sure the editorial team gets started with it. I then also make sure that it ends up with the colleagues of Persclub Verzending so that they can make up the press release or the newsletter. In busy periods I jump and ship a press release myself, or I will enter a site update.

What do you like about it
? Especially the contact with the client. It is nice to discover what fits the wishes of the client and how we can translate into a beautiful end product. You really build up a relationship and then know exactly what someone means when the question comes in. In addition, I like working with all colleagues. We have a very nice team, so a lot of working together is extra fun. I also find it interesting to see how colleagues from other departments work: you get to know and understand each other better and better. We often work with short deadlines and that makes the work very dynamic. Switching between the different departments is a fun, challenging job!

What are you most proud
of? I am most proud of how we work together as a big team. We always get very nice and sometimes complex projects to success with all the knowledge we have in our home, in all different areas of this. That’s something we can all be proud of. In addition, I am also proud of how we interact with the whole team. We are really one big family, so we also privately support each other through thick and thin.

How do you keep up to date with what’s going on in your field?
I have to say that I learn a lot from my colleagues. They often show me things that I can apply later in my own work. In addition, I also learn by ‘trying’ and i can stay informed of developments in html and Photoshop through different websites.

What’s the last book you’ve read? NI
MA Marketing A2 – a course I currently take. I’m not a reader. I prefer to watch movies or series!

About the photo: from where the lip
stick? A lipstick is always good, nice and cheerful! Sometimes I like to unpack with makeup. Especially on weekends, I’ll have a little more time for it. For a special occasion like a party I like to follow a makeup tutorial on YouTube and then do it completely.

What three things are you happy about?
Family, go out to dinner and (distant) holidays!

What are you listening to in
the car? To the voice of my mother or my sister. I’ll call him nine out of ten times when I’m in the car. We are very close, but don’t live so close to each other anymore that we can spontaneously stop by each other. That’s how we have a little chat. And if there’s a music on it, that’s usually 3FM or my ‘Spotify Daily’ mix. It consists of pop music such as the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, and so on.

What’s your biggest dream?
Make nice trips with my husband and children.

What question would you ask which colleague?
Celeste, does answering some nice questions a little in your planning?
